In case you don't have such card , you can buy health insurance in the National Health Fund (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia) for about 40 PLN per month. Based on the bilateral country agreement the citizens of Great Britain, Sweden and Slovakia, can take advantage of Polish health services free of charge, while Czech students can use it in case of an emergency or a sudden illness.
Security
Mostly visitors in Poland experience no difficulties. Serious crime against foreigners is been find bit rare , but of course incidents do occur and in some cases some attacks have been racially motivated. You need to be alert about the possibility of street crime and theft like petty theft, and that foreigners may appear to be the targets. keep your valuable things and cash out of sight, especially in crowded areas and tourist spots where pickpockets and bag snatchers are mildly active.
The robbery risk is much high in the local train services at night. Unregulated taxi drivers operate at the Warsaw airports and elsewhere. They usually overcharge from the customers. Only use official taxis, which have the name and telephone number of the taxi company on the side of the door and on the top of the taxi too. They will also show a rate card on the window to the customer from the vehicle. if you see a taxi with a crest but there is no company name written on it keep that in mind that is also not official or registered one.
